Thursday, March 10, 2011 the City of Lodi Public Works Department, City, County and Woobridge Irrigation District officials broke ground for the new Surface Water Treatment Facility (SWTF) project. Community members heard from Anne Beard, assemblymember Alyson Hubers representative; Andy Christensen, General Manager of the Woodbridge Irrigation District, Wally Sandelin, Public Works Director and Mayor Bob Johnson. The SWTF project will treat 10 million gallons per day that will deliver drinking water to the Community of Lodi. The projects estimated completion date is December of 2012.
